Hi people, I’m Jenny.
I haven’t really been much of a blogger, but I figured it could inspire people to share my life/fitness/anything-experiences. I’ve never liked blogs that went on with useless information and blabla’s, so let’s go ahead and jump into it.
I’m really into a healthy lifestyle, but I wouldn’t call myself a fitness junkie or anything. I enjoy working out daily and “try” to be healthy - honestly, I can’t let go of what people call cheat-foods and I don’t think people should. Eat in moderation and you’ll be just fine, trust me! Well… it depends on your goals of course, but if you want to be fit and healthy - I’m proof that you can do it. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Relaaaax….
For the rest of this month, I’ll be on a low-carb diet. Now you’re probably thinking I’m crazy and that I’ll be starving myself with foods that don’t really taste good. Again. Relaaaax… I pretty much just cut out the “bad” carbs from my diet such as white rice, white bread, blabla… you know the deal.
Here’s my food diary for today and can be used for inspiration. Keep in mind though, that I switch it up everyday. I don’t like boring diets. (I’m not a professional nutritionist, but this works for me… I haven’t fainted or anything… yet.)
Morning: Fruit drink/smoothie (1/2 banana, a handful of strawberries, an apple and green tea)
Lunch: 2 Rye-breads with tuna salad (today it contained tuna, cucumber, red bell pepper and cottage cheese) 2 scrambled eggs.
Pre-workout: A handful of nuts and a fruit.
Post-workout: Fruit smoothie (same as earlier and no… I don’t drink protein shakes. I don’t see the point in drinking them.)
Dinner: Chicken, boiled carrots and brown rice.
Snacks: Nuts.
You’ve probably heard the “6 fruit a day”-rule right? Well… since elementary, when I heard it for the first time, it just stuck and now I can’t forget it. I do my best to follow it. Therefore, the fruit smoothies. Oh, and I have braces - so I’d rather drink fruits than eat them whole. I think eating them raw is better for you, though.
Okay… So now you may think: Well… How much of the different foods do you eat? Like… 2 chicken breasts… just 1 or?? I don’t have the exact answer. My rule for meal portions: Eat slow and until you’re full. Don’t overeat. Get to know yourself and your body, it’s much better than following some stupid and hard diet.
